More than a year ago, we announced that our entire portfolio of model-year 2013 engines were fully compliant with Greenhouse Gas 2014 (GHG14) regulations from the EPA and NHTSA. This meant that we were certified a full year in front ahead of the mandate, which went into effect in 2014.

And while we’re certainly very proud to have achieved this important designation before any other OEM as early as we did, what’s most impressive is what’s happening on the road, with our customers.

When we launched the Detroit DD15 engine in 2007, our customers immediately experienced the benefits of our new engine platform. We heard from customers who were achieving significant fuel economy without sacrificing power or performance. We knew that the DD15 was something special.

Since that first introduction, we've made additional enhancements to the DD15, to not only meet the new emissions regulations, but to further benefit fuel economy. Updates that improve performance, reduce oil fuel consumption and of course – add more power.

It’s not just our commitment to meeting environmental standards that drives us – it’s our customers. We’re already looking ahead to the next round of regulations, and how we will continue to deliver on our promise and exceed customer expectations.
