Front Steer Axles Warranty
For the front steer axle, warranty coverage includes the I-beam, steering knuckles, spindles, kingpins, kingpin bearings and steering arms. Detroit allows 100% warranty coverage of all knuckle parts, including the kingpin. Progressive damage is also covered. Front axles are covered for up to 5 years/750,000 miles for on-highway applications.
Rear Axles Warranty
Warranty coverage includes the axle housing, carrier assembly, inter-axle differential, axle shafts, gaskets and seals. Detroit offers a standard 5-year/750,000 mile warranty on Class 8 on-highway applications when synthetic lube is installed.
For the DT12, warranty coverage is 5 year/750,000 miles on 100% on-highway applications in the U.S. and Canada. The CPCA clutch coverage is 3 year/300,000 miles. See warranty parchment for exclusions.

Detroit’s extended engine service coverage covers tomorrow’s costs at today’s pricing. After reviewing your base warranty coverage, consider extended service coverage for protection on engine systems and components that fit your needs and application.
Multiple time and distances are available for up to 6 years/600,000 miles for on-highway or 7 years/250,000 miles for vocational coverage.
After your base warranty ends, you will be able to count on extended service coverage
to control your out-of-pocket repair costs making your business expenses more predictable.
Detroit Extended Coverage is also available for the DT12 transmission, DT12 clutch, Detroit
axles and used Detroit engines.
