Remote Updates uses secure, over-the-air programming capabilities and a cellular connection to allow fleets to facilitate select engine parameter changes. Remote Updates enables truck fleets to change select engine parameter settings on one or a hundred trucks, all from a single location, and all at the same time.
Detroit-initiated engine and other powertrain-related electronic controller updates can also be delivered remotely. This capability ensures that customers have the latest powertrain firmware updates throughout their fleets.
Remote Updates improves fleet uptime by reducing the need to stop and physically connect vehicles at service centers to make engine parameter changes, or receive powertrain updates from Detroit®.
Remote Updates is exclusively available via the proprietary connectivity platform in the new Freightliner Cascadia.
