Customers count on your fleet to deliver. The Detroit Assurance® suite of truck safety systems is designed to help you do just that – and more. Get ready for next-level driver comfort and the latest in automated safety with our collision mitigation system for trucks.

ACTIVE SPEED INTERVENTION

Active Speed Intervention (ASI) is designed to increase safety by helping drivers stay within the speed limit and maintain good driving practices.

SIDE GUARD ASSIST

Side Guard Assist (SGA) keeps an eye on a truck’s blind spot. It warns the driver not to move into an occupied lane or make a right turn that would cause the truck to make contact with an object or person.

Active Side Guard Assist (ASGA) takes safety a step further. This industry-first technology engages at urban speeds (less than 12 mph) to prevent the truck from making a right turn into a moving cyclist or pedestrian.

ACTIVE BRAKE ASSIST 5

Active Brake Assist 5 (ABA 5) keeps an eye on the road ahead. It’s designed to mitigate potential collisions by automatically calculating the truck’s speed and distance to other vehicles to determine if a warning or braking action is needed.

  • Full Braking on Moving Pedestrian can detect a person who is about to walk into the truck’s path. It issues audio and visual warnings with simultaneous partial braking first, followed by full braking if the driver does not react.
  • Full Braking on Moving and Stationary Vehicles can identify moving or stationary vehicles in the truck’s path. When the system detects a potential obstacle, it issues audio and visual warnings as well as partial and full braking, if necessary.

BRAKE HOLD MODE

Brake Hold Mode improves driver comfort when the truck is stopped in traffic, at a weigh scale or at a loading dock by allowing the driver to remove their foot from the brake pedal.

ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL TO 0 MPH

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) to 0 MPH is a standard feature that automatically adjusts a truck’s cruising speed to maintain a safe following distance from other vehicles, so drivers can stay alert, comfortable and in cruise control longer.

ACTIVE LANE ASSIST

Utilizing fused camera and radar technology, optional Active Lane Assist (ALA) features can help drivers stay safe and comfortable on the road. ALA reduces road vibrations, improves low-speed maneuverability and increases ease-of-steering through micro-adjustments.

  • Lane Keep Assist (LKA) is designed to identify lane markers and help the driver keep the truck centered in its lane.
  • Lane Departure Protection (LDP) can detect when the truck is drifting out of its lane and actively steer it back on course.
  • Lane Keep Assist with Auto Stop is designed to protect the driver and surrounding traffic in the unlikely event that the driver becomes incapacitated.

*Standard on eCascadia only.

ADDITIONAL FEATURES

Detroit Assurance offers additional features that make the driving experience even safer and more enjoyable.

Standard:

  • Intelligent High Beam automatically switches headlights between high and low beams when the system detects environmental light from cities or another vehicle’s headlights or tail lights.
  • Automatic Wipers/Headlamps turns wipers and headlights on or off to match conditions when wiper or headlight controls are set to auto.
  • Tailgate Warning issues visible alerts on the dash as well as sounds when the truck’s following distance is too short in relation to its speed for 10 seconds or longer.
  • Lane Departure Warning issues audio and visual alerts when the truck crosses lane markers without using a turn signal.
  • Traffic Sign Display automatically reads speed limit and other traffic signs and displays those signs in the instrument cluster. *with DT12
Standard Features

Optional:

  • Forward-Facing Video Capture* utilizes the front-facing HD camera to record the truck’s activity on the road before, during and after severe traffic events.
  • The Driver-Facing Camera* can give fleet operations and safety personnel greater insight into drivers’ reactions by capturing footage of a driver before, during and after a severe traffic event.
